Pick of the kid friendly eateries in Hong Kong

Foodie Magazine, that great resource for all about eating, nutrition and fab new places to dine in Hong Kong asked me to list a few of my favourite kid friendly eateries, its ever changing  in the world of Hong Kong restaurants but here are some of my current favourites where you and your little ones can enjoy a relaxing and nutritious lunch.

If organic is your thing, you can’t go far wrong taking your children to Mana restaurant on Wellington Street. Here you will find a great menu of the freshest ingredients. They specialize in organic, vegan and raw food, with some gluten free options too. The food is tasty and colourful, and the smoothies are yummy, the flatbreads are filled with all kinds of tasty ingredients and the bread is cooked fresh in their own brick oven. All in all a healthy lunch or snack for the kids…and you too!

Two top weekend brunch venues to take the kids
208 Duecento Otto: Bambino Brunch at the weekends. Great food for the grown ups too! Saturdays 12.30 -2.30pm and Sundays 10am – 3.30pm, also open on public holidays.
At the Sheung Wan end of Hollywood Road is 208 Duecento Otto, a vast 2 storey Italian restaurant which has a great playroom for the kids upstairs at the back. Both adult and kid menus are excellent and the food is consistently good. A great place to enjoy weekend brunch whilst the kids are busy playing as well as eating.
Be sure to book well in advance, it is very popular. There are no high chairs but they do have booster seats that fit onto the dining chairs.

Linguini Fini: This restaurant in L Place on Queens Road is a huge hit with kids and parents alike. They do brunch every weekend and public holiday with a kids corner and  on Sunday’s they organize complimentary ‘cooking classes’ for the kids.
A good range of pizzas, pastas and other Italian/American favourites, it is a good place to sit back, enjoy the food and let the activities in the kid’s corner occupy your little ones.

And perennial favourite with many Hong Kong mums…..
Oolaa restaurant, large, spacious dining room, plenty of highchairs and staff who are great with kids. They will scale down meals to suit tiny tums and do a great job of coping with rowdy bunches of children! The menu is wide with lots of good quality kids fare.
